Declare His glory among the nations,
His marvelous deeds among all peoples.

WE HAVE ARRIVED...FINALLY!!!!

Whew!!! After 21 hours, 1200 miles, 4 potty breaks, 3 fastfood stops, and 2 coffee breaks....we have exited the bus for good!!!

Welcome to New Hope Alliance Church!

We've picked our beds....

...staked claim to the showers...

and met our host, Pastor Willy.

***As of this writing, we are awaiting the arrival of Kaitlyn Jordan who is stuck in an airport waiting for a seat on a flight to LA. We took a few minutes to gather together to pray for her protection and someone to come alongside and help care for her as she waits.***

The girls did some coloring...

...and the boys started a football game w/the neighborhood boys...

By far, the highlight of the evening were the puppies that one of the locals brought by!!!!

....Would anyone be opposed to them coming home with us!?!?!

It's been a good day, we've gotten a glimpse of the city, the forgotten destruction....and there is an air of anticipation as we begin the job we came so far to do.

May our hearts and hands be instruments of praise....

Whoo hoo you made it! The pics were great! Today we are praying for safety while at work, and for relationships to begin with the folks there, may you all be the light of Jesus as you work and fellowship with them.
P.S. No, Will, you may not bring home a puppy.......

What cute puppies! The rest of you are cute too! Continuing to pray for you all. Isaiah...are you drinking enough water? Holly...how is your attitude? Just checking! This is so exciting keeping up with your group. Be Jesus' hands and feet today. Love, Lori Burget

I pray that you all will serve in LA as "little children." As Jesus spoke to the disciples (Matt. 18:2-4) about being the greatest in the Kingdom of Heaven. He said they needed to be as one of the little children to be great in the Kingdom of Heaven.

So serve without self-consciousness or pretense. Don't worry about your weaknesses or shortcomings. Understand that you are serving the Creator of the Universe AND that he is SOOOO into you. Rest there! Serve there! I like how Lori put it...be HIS hands and feet. I'll add, be HIS heart, death and life to those you serve this week.

I am praying for you all!
Much love!

And so your week starts! May it be blessed from start to finish! May you all work in harmony and unity and for the glory of God!

Emma is enjoying her time with Bailey...so DON'T you dare bring home another doggie, Terri, when you could have HIM!!!!! She is having fun with her cousins, all of them coming over to Grandma's this afternoon to play in the hot tub. G & G are enjoying having her for the week!

Love to Terri, Alex and Nick (and the rest of you, too!)

Praise GOD that the team arrived safely!! I am convinced that you guys have an awesome bus driver! He's the best. I am thankful for Randy and Holly to lead this group. And most of all I am thankful for my son Isaiah to step out in faith to serve other people in times of need. I love you Dude!

Thanks for doing this, Terri. Take good care of your voice (lots of coffee, little volume)...Randy, thanks for driving and Harry, thanks for encouraging Nate to go. I love you Nate...and I have decided to name the puppy Eduardo. Will he fit in your expandable duffle bag? We are praying for all of you as you live out James 1:22.
